Five employees of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development of the BARMM participated in the first of the series of Ramadhan Forum conducted by the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) today at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

The forums abide with theme ‘Nourishing Spiritual Wellness and Bringing Ourselves Closest to Allah’, and are attended by representatives from different ministries and agencies of the BARMM and from different women organizations in the region.

BWC Chairperson and MP Hadja Bainon G. Karon welcomed the participants and speakers with her words of invitation and encouragement.

In support to the meaningful activity, messages were also delivered by MOST-BARMM Minister and MP Engr. Aida Silongan, MAFAR-BARMM Director II and Chairperson of Ittihaddun Nisa Foundation, Inc. Julie O. Maliga, Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abuhuraira A. Udasan, and BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, Al-Hadj.

Words of wisdom on the first ten days of Ramadhan were also shared by BWC Consultant Sheikh Salih M. Musa, which according to him are considered ‘rahma’ or mercy from Allah SWT.

The main highlights of the forum were the lectures from Ustadz Saad P. Delna, Provincial Secretary of Hay-ato Ulama El-Muslimina Bil-Filibbin, Inc. and from Sheikh Shaidy Mama Montañer.

The first topics comprehensively explained by the speakers were ‘Halal: A Source of Living’ and ‘My Job, My Ibadah’ through which the participants learned that Islam is a complete way of life and that the topics cover ad affect every aspect of human life from physical, mental, to psychological, and social.

An open forum was also held for the speakers to respond properly to the queries of the selected participants which had something to do with halal and work-related issues.

The first participants from MHSD-BARMM were Information Officer III and GAD Alternate Focal Person Salembai A. Abdullah, Information Officer I Juwairiyah bint Emran M. Mohamad, Video Manager Hamsari H. Pala, Graphic Artist Almansour S. Ugao, and Admin Assistant Sittie Rohana Lidasan.
