Select engineers of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, from its Planning and Design Division (PDD), led by Chief Engr. Zainodin A. Buisan, participated in the PhilConstruct 2023 Hybrid Edition held at the SMX Convention Center, Manila on November 9-12, 2023.

PhilConstruct Manila is a trade show organized by the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA), which offers businesses the opportunity to showcase their newest technologies and products as a testament to the industry’s resilience, adaptability, and commitment to shaping a sustainable future.

“With the experience gained from the event, I believe that the PDD team will be able to improve its technical skills and performance in designing and programming housing and development projects in the BARMM,” Chief Buisan said.

“The event will help the MHSD, as the Housing Arm of the BARMM, in recognizing the contribution of various sectors and technologies in shaping modern infrastructure, exemplifying the principles of innovation, resilience, and sustainability for future infrastructure projects especially for the housing and other development projects of the Ministry,” Archt. Samantha Jean E. Wee stated.

The activity kicked off with an opening statement from Ibarra Paulino, Executive Director and Co-Chairman of Construction Markets Development, Public & Private, at the PCA, where he emphasized propelling the industries that lead the way in progress.

With Chief Buisan and Archt. Wee, the other participants from the MHSD were Architects Abubakar Abdullah E. Pangadil and Renee Jay F. Marcos, and Engineers Abuhandis B. Kasan, Mary France Contaoi and Johaira T. Rahim.
