The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, represented by Housing and Homesite Regulation Officer III Jehanna M. Abdulkarim participated in the Formulation of the Bangsamoro Ecological Profile-Technical Working Group (BEP-TWG) Meeting, conducted by the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) on May 12, 2022, at the Al Nor Convention, Cotabato City.

The BEP updates were presented by the BPDA as the meeting’s main agendum, and next steps were identified to kick start the BEP’s formulation process during the focus group discussions (FGD).

During the FGD, HHRO Abdulkarim shared the ministry’s data on housing projects, status of Comprehensive Land Use Plans and relative ministry indicators.

After the identification of the data and indicators per ministry and sector, the BPDA will further collate them to be made as bases for programming the future workshop on the BEP’s formulation.

The BEP will present a comprehensive scoping and snapshot of the physical, biological, socio-economic, cultural, political, and built environments of the BARMM to serve as the primary reference for the region’s future planning, particularly on target setting, strategy formulation, investment programming, and monitoring and evaluation.
