Shortly after the turnover of two training centers in Lanao del Sur, the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, turned over and inaugurated two more training centers for the development of the Bangsamoro in Marawi City with the back-to-back ribbon cutting ceremonies conducted on May 29, 2023.

A one-storey multi-purpose human development training center was turned over to Arap Ulamah in Brgy. Mipaga, funded under Minister Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra’s Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2021 during his time as Member of the Parliament (MP).

Arap Ulama is a school that specializes in teaching Arabic linguistics and Qur’anic memorization in the such village in the city.
Minister Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra of the MHSD said his leadership executes all efforts for its share of advocacy on moral governance and the provision of training centers is one of the ways.

“This is a manifestation that the Bangsamoro Government is a government of the people, by the people and for the people”, he further stated.

In response, Dr Rasid M. Paca, JD, Executive Vice President of MSU-Marawi said the project might be simple but it is very significant and the university really needs training centers in molding the youth, the future leaders of the Region.

“We appreciate and commend the immediate completion and turnover of the training center in MSU-Marawi City,” VP Paca expressed.

Meanwhile, a two-storey multi-purpose youth training center was turned over to the Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) in Brgy. Dimalna, Marawi State University (MSU), funded under the TDIF 2021 of MP Atty. Maisarah C. Dandamun-Latiph, who also serves as MCB’s Chairperson.

The MCB is a government entity established to award monetary compensation to lawful owners of residential, commercial, or cultural structures, as well as personal properties damaged or lost during the 2017 Marawi Siege.

The official station of the MCB is in Iligan City, and the training center in MSU will serve as a satellite office for the implementers to directly confer with the beneficiaries on important concerns.
