The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) of the BARMM conducted an orientation on the Magna Carta for Homeowners’ Association (HOA) for the members of Ziehada HOA, Inc. on April 1, 2021 held at the National Housing Authority (NHA) Zamboanga District Office on Veterans Avenue, Zamboanga City.

The attendees were beneficiaries who are part of the Ziehada Subdivision Phase 1 project under the NHA’s Community-Based Initiative Approach (CBIA), a housing project scheduled to rise in a 50,000 square-meter plot of land situated in Barangay Anuling, Patikul Sulu.

The orientation was done by Mursidier A. Sajili, Officer-In-Charge of the MHSD BaSulTa Extension Office, who discussed the salient points of Republic Act No. 9904, otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Homeowners and Homeowners’ Associations. He also touched on the functions, rules and regulations of the HOA as well as the pre and post registration processes involving HOAs.

The activity was organized by Shara-Lei J. Daluddin, Community Support Services Officer; and Engr. Sajid Ryan I. Roldan, Principal Engineer A, who are the NHA employees in charge of the said housing project.

They explained that a requirement of housing projects under NHA programs is the creation of the HOA of its homeowner-beneficiaries.

The major objective is to achieve the sustainability of the projects and organize the communities for the members to independently manage and resolve their concerns and issues.
