The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) of the BARMM, represented by its Legal Officer Atty. Nasihah S. Mamarungcas and Planning Officer Engr. Zainodin A. Buisan, participated in the three-day workshop on the legislative agenda of the cabinet 2021-2022, conducted on May 5 to 7, 2021 at the DusitD2 Hotel in Davao City.

The workshop was spearheaded by the Office of the Cabinet Secretary in partnership with the Support to Bangsamoro Transition (SuBATra) with the aim to identify the priority legislative agenda of the cabinet for years 2021 and 2022.

Atty. Mamarungcas said the members of the cabinet or the BARMM ministries, including MHSD, were consulted to properly come up with the necessary legislations.

“In crafting bills, we always consider moral governance and the upliftment of the lives of the Bangsamoro people.” Atty. Mamarungcas emphasized.

Aside from significant improvements for the housing sector, the ministry also proposed for the creation of the BARMM Human Settlements and Adjudication Board.
