
The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD), the Housing Arm of the BARMM, presented the Ministry’s Projects and Accomplishments during the first convergence meeting with the Special Geographic Area Development Authority (SGADA) on March 17, 2023 at the Ace Royal Suites, Midsayap, North Cotabato.
The meeting aimed to convene all BARMM Ministries, Offices, and Agencies (MOAs) to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and convergence with the SGADA and the 63 Barangay Local Government Units under the SGA.
Each participating ministry was given time to present their Programs, Projects, and Activities in the SGA.
Zuhaira U. Ebrahim, Housing and Homesite Regulation Officer (HHRO) IV, introduced the MHSD’s mandate and presented the current implementations in the SGA for the MHSD’s SGA Office. She highlighted the proposed turnover of 50 housing units to the beneficiaries in Barangay Buricain, Pigcawayan.
As of the SGADA convergence meeting, the MHSD has a total of 250 housing units for Resettlement, either completed or ongoing construction, across the SGA, funded under the General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro 2021-2022, and the Special Development Fund 2020.
Representing the MHSD with HHRO Ebrahim was Engineer III Normelyn A. Ibad.
Concluding the activity was a closing message from Member of the Parliament (MP) Kelie U. Antao, who expressed his gratitude to the representatives from the BARMM MOAs present during the meeting.
