The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development successfully conducted its first New Staff Orientation (NSO) for the Regional Office on September 13, 2022, at Cocina Isabela, Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City.

Initiated by the Ministry’s Human Resource Management Office, the NSO educated employees on their respective responsibilities, as well as discussed the history of the BARMM and its salient features; explained Moral Governance and how it should be put into practice; enumerated and discussed the different kinds of leaves, norms of conduct and modes of employee’s discipline; identified employee benefits, and; listed the duties and responsibilities expected from BARMM employees.

Explaining the importance of the NSO, employees’ rights and benefits, with emphasis on Moral Governance, was key Resource Speaker Hellie S. Biruar, Consultant to the Capacity Development Program for Bangsamoro – Japan International Cooperative Agency (CDPB-JICA) and former Chief Human Resource Specialist to the Civil Service Commission for Region 12.

Director General Esmael W. Ebrahim officially opened the program by emphasizing the application of Moral Governance in every action made wherever one is.

The activity formally ended with a closing message from the Head of Legal Section, Atty. Nasihah S. Mamarungcas, expressing her gratitude to the attendees.
