The members, from MHSD-BARMM, of the Secretariat and Technical Working Group of the Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) for the Marawi Rehabilitation Program (MRP), participated in the coordination meeting held today (June 22, 2021) at the BPDA Conference Hall, Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC), Cotabato City.

The meeting was presided by Atty. Anna Tarhata S. Basman, MP, Program Manager, BARMM-MRP and member of the Program Steering Committee (PSC).

MP Basman said the meeting was conducted to expedite the procurement and implementation of the approved projects by identifying clear and necessary steps forward with the secretariat.

With its main purpose, the meeting was also attended by representatives from the MRP-Project Management Office (PMO), Office of the Chief Minister (OCM), Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), and Ministry of Social Services and Development, all of the BARMM. These agencies and ministries serve as the proponents and implementers of the projects under MRP.

With more than Php9 million budget from the OCM, the MRP projects that will pass the SBAC were installation of new water systems, installation of water chlorinator/purification system, installation of water storage, and land development by the MSSD; construction of 200 housing units, land development, and land acquisition by the MHSD; construction of building, purchase of hauling truck, provision of startup materials, and establishment of nursery and composting facility by the MAFAR.

MP Basman also presented the projects that will be implemented by the PMO, from which the ones to pass the SBAC are the procurement of construction materials, construction of learning center, procurement of ICT equipment and furniture, and construction of bathing station.

Norcayla L. Mamalac, Head of the SBAC Secretariat, presented the constitution, functions, and subsequent activities of the SBAC, and requirements for fund releases and procurement.

The team members from the MHSD were Engr. Zainodin A. Buisan and Engr. Yasser M. Rapun, members of the TWG, Salembai A. Abdullah, member of the secretariat, Ansary A. Noor and Shallahudin S. Cosain of MHSD-MRP from the Extension Office in Marawi City.
