The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) had a collaborative meeting with the Polloc Freeport and Ecozone (PFEZ) last July 9, 2021 at the Office of the Director General, MHSD Management Office, Cotabato City.

The PFEZ was represented by Port Administrator Iharyf A. Sucol, Port Engineer Nasrodin Masakal, and I.T. Mohamad Mang.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the plan for relocation of the informal settlers in Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao, with proposed relocation site in Barangay Timbangan, Parang, Maguindanao.

To date, there are 582 households targeted for relocation. Additional number of households is also forecasted as survey is still ongoing to complete the number of the target households.

According to MHSD Planning Officer Engr. Zainodin Buisan, the MHSD is committed to support their relocation program. However, there is still a need to get an approval during budget proposals to secure the source of funding.

Director General Esmael W. Ebrahim also committed on the partnership with PFEZ. He also suggested to establish convergence with the BPDA and MPW for a better collaboration on this initiative.
As agreed, the MHSD technical team, with Director General Ebrahim, will conduct a site visit as an initial assessment of the relocation site.
