Officials from the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) of the BARMM met with Provincial Director Engr. Amina Dalandag of the Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) Maguindanao at the MILG provincial office conference hall on May 4, 2021.

The parties discussed the current status of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) among the Local Government Units (LGUs) and the integration of Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA).

The MHSD representatives were from the Environment, Land Use and Development (ELUD) Section headed by Policy Development and Coordination Division Chief Abdulhamid C. Alawi, Jr.

Chief Alawi, Jr informed Director Dalandag of the MHSD’s plan of inviting private developers in the Philippines to invest in the BARMM and he explained the regulatory tasks and powers of the ministry.

The delivery of technical assistance to LGUs shall now be in partnership with Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDC) of the local government as agreed in the meeting.

As MHSD is specifically tasked to remind LGUs on the completion of their CLUP, a letter will be sent to the LGUs, through the MPDC.

“The MHSD may now redirect any concerns regarding CLUP to the MPDC”, Director Dalandag said during the meeting.
