The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development brews another possible partnership now with the CirroLytix for implementation of prospective projects, held at the Moro Café, BGC Compound, Cotabato City on February 23, 2022.
The meeting primarily aimed at facilitating the enhancement of data collection and improvement of efficiency and productivity through app developments that will ease procedures and processes on the ministry’s operations and services. It intends to develop the ministry’s online databases for public availability, improve data accessibility, and strengthen transparency.
“The MHSD has been an active promoter of data and data-driven approach that promotes strategic decision-making, and develops insights or solutions based on data analysis and interpretation essential for evidence-based policymaking, peacebuilding, and governance”, Chief Abdulhamid C. Alawi, Jr. of the Policy Coordination and Development Division said.
The meeting made possible for applications to be identified with CirroLytix to further enhance the MHSD’s operations.
CirroLytix is a key partner to the BARMM Data Challenge, which invites all Filipino data-science enthusiasts to develop insights, strategies, or solutions for addressing development challenges in the BARMM using publicly available data.
CirroLytix is a social impact technology company which endeavors to help governments, non-profits, researchers, international agencies and local organizations succeed at addressing collective social problems around the world by harnessing the full power of their data.
The company collaborates with The Asia Foundation with the aim to advocate the use of data for policy development and good governance under the Forward Bangsamoro project.
It was represented by Mark Toledo, BARMM Head of Partnerships during the meeting with the MHSD, represented by Chief Alawi, Jr., John Anthony M. Ocumen, Cartographer II, and Tyrone Luis Agcambot, Administrative Assistant.
