Aimed at providing assistance for faster recovery, the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, through the Marawi Satellite Office of the MHSD Minister, helped the victims of the fire that happened in Sagonsongan, Marawi City on June 10, 2023.
Understanding their basic and most important needs, the MHSD provided each of the 25 afflicted households with 25 kilos rice and PHP1,000 distributed at the MHSD Provincial Office in Lanao del Sur on June 15, 2023.
According to Juhary Pacasum, Sagonsongan Area President, the 25 families’ houses sustained partial to complete damages and they have taken shelter in the Sagonsongan Shelter Area 6-A in Marawi City. Those with partial damages have remained in Sagonsongan, while those with complete damages temporarily moved in with relatives.
“As workers in the Bangsamoro government, we have to exert all efforts to be of help to our people during times of calamities and acute needs.
