The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, distributed 50 10kg-sacks of  rice and bottled water to the aged people during the Project TABANG Convergence in Camp Bilal, Barangay Tamparan, Municipality of Munai, Lanao del Norte on August 17, 2024.

Keeping in mind the theme “Bringing the Bangsamoro Government closer to the People,” Benjamin D. Alangca, Provincial Director of MHSD-Lanao del Sur (LDS), said they prioritized beneficiaries who are 60 years old and above, most of whom were Azatids (Islamic preachers) from the religious and Imam sectors.

Ansary A. Noor, Supervising Administrative Office (SAO), reported that the MHSD has served 50 beneficiaries from Munai, Tangcal, Tubud, Sapad, Brgy Payong, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Salvador, Piagapo, Kaiswagan, Poona Piagapo, Nunungan, Dilabayan, Iligan City, and West Bacolod.

With PD Alangca and SAO Noor personally participating in the distribution were Chief of Staff Ajeeb Dhiauddin D. Barra, Provincial Engineer Salic C. Pao, and the staff from MHSD-LDS.

The activity’s location is also the site of one of the MHSD’s implemented one-storey multipurpose training centers, funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2022 of Hon. Abdullah “Bravo” G. Macapaar, Member of the Parliament (MP) that is set for turnover as soon as possible..

Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led the convergence activity that is one of the flagship programs of the Office of the Chief Minister in partnership with all ministries, offices, and agencies of the Bangsamoro Government. It seeks to fulfill the government’s pledge to assist its constituents at the grassroots and provide the Bangsamoro people with immediate and direct services.

The Bangsamoro Organic Act mandated the Bangsamoro Government to give assistance to Bangsamoro communities outside the region’s core territory that will further their cultural, social, and economic advancement.

Including the training center in Camp Bilal, the MHSD has completed a total of five training centers and 50 resettlement housing units in LDN.

In the province’s municipality of Baloi,has a total of four training centers, two of which are two-storey for human development that were already turned over, one in West Poblacion, funded under the Special Development Fund (SDF) 2020, while the other is in Brgy. Pacalundo, funded under the TDIF2021 of MP Hon. Said M. Shiek.

Under construction also in West Poblacion is a one-storey human development training center also funded under the TDIF2022 of MP Macapaar, while the other is a two-storey building funded under the TDIF2023 of MP Hon. Amroussi A. Macatanong, located in Brgy. East Poblacion.

Also funded under the SDF2020 are 50 housing units currently under construction in Brgy. Punod, Tangcal of the same province
