The newest batch of employees of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, guaranteed better service to the Bangsamoro, with refined attitude in the workplace, after successfully completing the Supervisory Development Course (SDC) Track 1 held at the Cocina Isabela, Cotabato City on September 9-13, 2024.
Bangsamoro Director General Esmael W. Ebrahim congratulated the participants during the graduation ceremony held on September 13, highlighting three things to keep in mind moving forward that are pledge, success, and responsibility.
He lauded the pledges recited by the groups during the last workshop, emphasizing its importance not only to the office but most importantly to seeking the pleasure of Allah SWT. He measured the success of the graduates based on the unity displayed throughout the group activities, for once they return to their respective offices accordingly, the teamwork that they developed will strengthen the community in the workplace.
Finally, he shared how the employees will be expected to handle more responsibilities as expectations rise for the graduates to enhance the organization.
“Every responsibility that you have [in this world] will be asked for in the Hereafter,” BDG Ebrahim stressed with the fact that the trainees’ value in the workplace has now soared.
Salem C. Demuna, Director II for Operations and Management Services welcomed the participants to the activity.
“This course is designed to delve into the core principles of effective supervision, offering practical tools and strategies to help you excel in your roles. Our ultimate goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence needed to lead your teams with greater impact and effectiveness,” Director Demuna said.
“Throughout this course, we encourage you to engage actively, share your experiences, and ask questions. Your participation will enrich the learning experience for everyone involved,” he further stated.
He enjoined the participants, both from the MHSD and the Bangsamoro Attorney General’s Office (BAGO), to embark on the same journey, hand in hand, to learn and equip each other into being better leaders in service of the Bangsamoro.
Participants were grouped into four to participate in series of workshops in between presentations on the personal effectiveness of each employee through learning the characteristics of becoming a winner.
Also discussed were the ways on becoming an achiever through mastering one’s inner world and knowing the coping mechanisms on stress.
The presentations were shared by effective resource speakers from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) of the BARMM, namely Ian Philip P. Zurita and Zulfikar Rauf L. Candao, both Senior Human Resource Supervisors, and Atty. Sittie Amera T. Manalao, Attorney III.
Among the employees who took the course, were Provincial Directors Atty. Najira S. Hassan of MHSD-Sulu, Noroden S. Abdullah of MHSD-Maguindanao and Atty. Mohammad Al-Amin M. Julkipli, Bangsamoro Assistant Attorney General, who delivered messages of gratitude and appreciation for the conducted activities, along with three other participants who shared their impressions.
The activity was facilitated by the Human Resource Management Section, led by Head Tyrone Luis A. Agcambot in partnership with the CSC-BARMM, in observance of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, which is celebrated throughout the whole month of September.
