Supported by key government officials of the BARMM, a groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Two-Storey Duplex Resettlement Housing Project’ on the lot donated by Robin “Abdulaziz” Padilla was spearheaded by the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development of the BARMM today in Barangay Kilala, Marawi City.

Hailed as the symbolic program of the ministry for the celebration of the Bangsamoro Foundation Day this day, January 21, the ceremony featured the start of the construction of a Php125million-worth housing project with 50 units to offer to 200 prospective beneficiaries who are mainly IDP-households.

With funds coming from the Bangsamoro Appropriations Act (BAA) 2021, the housing units are primarily intended to serve the families who lost their shelters during the ruthless Marawi Siege in 2017, and part of the ministry’s Marawi Rehabilitation Programs.

The ceremony was physically graced by BARMM officials that included Deputy Chief Minister for the Mainlands Ali B. Solaiman, Members of the Parliament Marjanie Mimbantas, Musa Diamla, Abdullah Macapaar, Diamila Ramos, Anna Tarhata Basman, Nabila Margarita Pangandaman-Balindong, Hon. City Mayor Atty. Majul Dandamra, MPW-BARMM Deputy Minister Engr. Momet Tomawis, Representatives of MP Sheikh Said, Zainodin Bato, and Minister Atty. Raisa Jajorie, and Task Force Bangon Marawi Chair Eduardo Del Rosario.
