With BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim officiating, the Director General (DG) of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) finally took his oath of office today, March 4, 2021 and pledged to keep advocating moral governance in carrying out his responsibilities as servant of the Bangsamoro.

After taking his oath, DG Esmael W. Ebrahim updated the chief minister on the status of the implementation of housing projects in the region, for both resettlement and housing loan that primarily cater the families of the IDPs and combatants and those who want to have their own house through installment process.

In particular, DG Ebrahim mentioned the ongoing construction of initial 40 housing units in Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, the duplex resettlement project in Marawi City and the 200 housing units to be built under the Marawi Rehabilitation Program (MRP) for which, possible sites were already validated by the team from the ministry.

The MHSD official was also happy to inform the BARMM highest official of the efforts of the ministry, with the leadership of Minister Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra, to accomplish the targeted projects this year across the provinces and cities of the BARMM.

Chief Minister Ebrahim then happily shared the latest information on the good development of the proposed extension of the BARMM transition period.

With DG Ebrahim, who also took his oath, was Haron Meling, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE).
