A representative from the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development of the BARMM participates in the whole-day activity of the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) on Policy Support for Women’s Economic Empowerment: A Stakeholder’s Advocacy Forum happening today at the BPDA Conference Hall, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

Yasser S. Mama, Housing and Homesite Regulations Officer, is attending the activity that is aimed at providing options and ways to improve the economic status of Bangsamoro women and one of which is the introduction of the Accelerate Online Program.

The program caters organizations and cooperatives that are interested to showcase their different products at the platform.

Through the activity, Mama learned that men have significant roles in empowering women in varied aspects.

“Men are included in the key influencing factors to empower the women; they have to recognize women not just by their responsibilities in the households but also with their chosen careers and social and economic tasks that include entrepreneurship”, Mama said.

The conduct of the forum is in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF), USAID, Limitless Lab, The Moropreneur, and other important institutions.
