BOGANGA, Marawi City | The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) headed by Minister Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra, received deed of donations of land from private individuals during the Tabang Marawi dated October 4, 2019. These parcel of Land shall be used for housing and resettlement projects of the Ministry.

This was MHSD’s pledge as part of the Bangsamoro government’s Project TABANG (Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan), an initiative of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to extend basic aid and necessary assistance to its constituents.

Recipients of these projects are those identified Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who lost their homes, families, and livelihood due to the five-month long battle during the Marawi siege.

The Lake View Shelter in Boganga, the second transitory shelters of the Marawi siege victims, was provided by the National Housing Authority (NHA), following the Bahay ng Pagbabago in Barangay Sagonsongan.

The event was attended by the BARMM Ministers, Members of the Parliament and officials, headed by the Interim Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim.

In addition, the Ministry also conducted a survey to determine the needs of the residents in terms of livelihood and housing assistance, for reference, in its future programs as part of its mandates.
