The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, with Hon. Abdulwahab M. Pak, Member of the Parliament (MP), turned over a two-storey multipurpose human development training center in Brgy. Calsada, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on November 8, 2024.

Bangsamoro Director General (BDG) Esmael W. Ebrahim, in his opening message, highlighted previous training centers turned over by the Ministry, noting how the proponent MP focused on human development with every structure built.

“Because this [training center] is one step on how we develop our community. They are fruits of jihad that we witness with these physical instruments that the BARMM Government, led by Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, has built to serve the people,” BDG Ebrahim said.

The construction of the training center was funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2021 of MP Pak, who discussed the history of the four organizations that will maintain the building moving forward.

Suharto S. Wahab, Director II for Technical and Regulatory Services, described the training center as an AMANAH, with the word to be an acronym to mean Accountability, Management, Access, Nurture, Aspiration and Holistic. He also dubbed the training to advocate for Public Access to Knowledge (PAK), as an homage to the surname of the proponent MP.

“We hope for this building to have generational use that will exceed the lifetime of the proponent and the implementors, but the blessings will follow that same proponent and original implementors in the afterlife,” said Noroden S. Abdullah, Provincial Director for MHSD-Maguindanao.

The Youth Volunteers for Charity Services (YVCS), represented by Executive Director Habib Usman, accepted the management of the training center on behalf of the beneficiaries when he committed to responsibly utilize the amanah for the development of the youth and betterment of the community.

The other three organizations that will co-manage the training center were The Kuliyyatul Irshad, Mahad Darul Arabie, Marqaz Al Ershad, and the Lil Qur’an Lil Kareem.
